Cyano problem with questions

Hi to all my fellow members. I think I'm having a small cyano problem starting in my 72. I have used chemi clean in the past with pretty good results, but before I do that again I wanted some more input as my system has changed a little since then. I now have corals and a CPR aquafuge HOB refugium w/skimmer, and I have cyano growing in my refugium as well. Chemi clean says turn off your skimmer, so my thinking is that the cyano growing in there will just spread to my DT again after treating. I guess thats if I use the Chemi Clean anyways. Anyone have suggestion on how to rid my DT and refugium of this? I'm putting my water change off a few days to see what responses I get, but I do have 20 gallons of water made up for the change, as I just had a torch coral kick the bucket (RIP, had him for 1 1/2 years). But my main concern is ridding this tank of cyano for good, including the refugium. Is that possible? Thanks for looking.

I'd use the chemi clean again, but first try to syphon as much out of the refugium as you can. Maybe this will help keep if from returning in the DT

Yeah, thanks for the reply stang5_o I'm kinda looking to get rid of it completely. Or for now anyways. Does anyone know if there is a way to make the skimmer part of the CPR HOB refugium/skimmer circulate water without skimming. Would it be as simple as closing the air line feeding the maxi-jet pump? It seems when I close it water is still moving, but no bubbles are being produced.
