cyano is comin back any way to keep it at bay

i always clean my skimmer and my salifert phosphate test said i had 0 phosphate, my nitrate is 5-8, i leave my mh on from 2-11:30

Go to an LFS and buy what's called, Chem-Clear. Worked for me, and doesn't harm a thing.

But, get to the root of the problem, that's always the way that's best.

That's why I went and bought a new powerhead. No mo' cyano.

fishking forgive me for the step in, but I got a question.
kip so are you saying that a better turnover rate and surface aggitation will help if cyano is on the LR or LS? I know it cant hurt, but I just thought a PH had to be aimed towards the problem area (this is with knowing everything else is ok, but thinking flow is the issue). this cyano stuf ticks me off and to top it off my sump overflowed and i spent over 3 and a half hour cleaning it up
