What can I use to get rid of it, will it go away on its own, does it hurt fish/inverts ect? Does chemiclean or chemipure work?? who makes them?
Thanks

Likely causes: Phosphates, nitrates, poor circulation.
Start syphoning it off and just keep at it when it returns - worked for me.

yeah, I do clean it, but I have to clean it like every third day if not sooner, and it gets pretty long like 3 inches or so

I would clean it like every day until it starts to subside and make sure your protein skimmer is running to capture whatever cyano is put into the water column while you're cleaning it.

I had the same problem and the way i got rid of it was to turn my lights off for a few days and put a blanket over it.....and it worked!! also, is your tank in contact with direct sunlight during the day? try the blanket thing and if that doesn't work try chemipure.
