I'm new at this saltwater aquarium stuff. I need to know how to cycle a new tank and how long to cycle a tank. The tank is 75 gallons.

Go rangers way of rock/sand unless you are planning a true fish-only tank--in which case you have to go the fish way -damsels or clowns are best. Also there are alot of bio-boosters now and even pre-colonized media, try some of these in addition to the fish. Put the fish in, then test regularly till all levels peak and return to zero. This could take a month give or take. Dont rush things. Welcome to this most awesome hobby!
