what size tank is it going into, and if the rock is being shipped then the answer is more than likely yes.

If it's precured, it probably won't cause a full blown cycle like uncured rock, but since it's being shipped there will be some dieoff, so you should expect at least a mini-cycle.
If you are wanting to add it to an established tank, my suggestion would be to treat it like uncured rock. Put it in a big rubbermaid tub with some water, a heater and a powerhead and cycle it like you would a new tank, testing the ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels daily and doing water changes as necessary. I woudn't think it would take more than a week or two to cycle it (since it's precured). JMO

I have cycled several tanks with shipped "precured" LR there has always been a lot of dieoff to cycle the tank. The only way to know for sure is to test the tank during the cycle.
As Kreach said if you don't want your tank to cycle then you will need to cure it in a seperate vat.

I'm in about the same boat as you are. I have a 55g tank with 60 lbs of LR.. the LR was cured and my amonia has been at .25 for a week or so, my LFS and my own research things that it has peaked and will soon drop. I also gave my LFS a hard time because truly cured LR should have no dieoff... he gave me a discount on some other stuff... hehe
