Cycling a Nano

Ok- I will be getting a 12G very soon.
For the filtration I want to replace the bioballs and junk with live rock rubble.
I plan to get this rubble from my LFS where it is already been in established tanks.
Will the bacteria on the rock be enough to start the tank cycling?
As for the water I want to leave the original water in the tank until it is done cycling correct?
After I see the drop then I can do a water change.
Just want to make sure..

to cycle my 65 gallon i used...
fritz zyme number 9
one bottle is used to treat 20 gallons its about 13 bucks
this is just acked with nitrifying bacteria... it automatically introduces bacteria into your tank and it will speed the cycle
or you could go with
fritz turbo start 9000 ($45)
this guarantees a cycle in 3 days
