I just cycled a dead shrimp in a 10 gallon tank. it is now fully cycled, and the ammonia is at 0. and my saltanity is 1.023, now i dont have live rock or sand. so if i add it, and its "cured at the store" will it restart my ammonia cycle?

ok, you put your dead shrimp in the tank, to start the cycle, but how long do you leave it in there? (assuming you had sand in there to start) and also, when adding live rock, is it best to add as much as you can, when you do the original cycle? when you add the live rock to an established tank, wont the die off start another cycle?

If you don't even have sand in the tank, there is no cycle because there is essentially no bacteria. They live in live rock and in the sand NOT IN THE WATER.

Ok, this is what I have learned from watching others
Don't ever believe a LFS that says their rock is fully cured, because it sometimes isn't. If there are no fish in there.....here is my advise--the other poster is correct about the sand, if there is nothing in the tank then it is NOT cycled--I would put the rock into the tank and then wait and see if it spikes. If it doesn't then it was cured if it does then it wasn't. GL
