Cycling tank questions

Hey, I have recently bought new live rock and set up my tank on saturday, 3 days ago. I used 1/2 ro/di water and other dechlorinated tap. I also put about 15 pounds of live rock and 30 pounds of dead sand in. I have had it going for the past 3 days, heater powerhead and HOB filter and nothing has changed. I was wondering if I have to do somthing to start the nitrogen cycle or w/e it is. my current parameters are:
Ph: 7
ammonia: 0
Nitrite: <0.5
Nitrate: <20
Temp: 79 F
Just wondering what I have to do to start the cycle...or to just let it run for a month.

Just give it a little time....You can jump start it by adding shrimp (1) from your deli department at the grocery store to kick things in gear.

i did that it started my cycle but it started to rot in my tank
wen i took it out of the tank i almost puked jus to warn u about the shrimp

would using that "Stress Zyme" stuff work the same as a shrimp?
