Cycling Tank

I am starting a 20g long coral frag tank and i have a few questions about cycling. i was planning on only doing LR in the fuge in my sump, along with some sand and some cheato. should i use these things to cycle my tank or should i cycle and then add those to my fuge? also, i dont have a light yet and was wondering if i could cycle my tank without the light

It does'nt matter were the rock is, just be aware that when you add new rock to your DT if not properly cured it will send your tank into another cycle. And you do not need a light to cycle your tank.
