I wouldnt ,just asking.Ive noticed that alot of people use Damsels during their cycle ,then complain how difficult they are and usually have to remove them. Im using a piece of shrimp to start my cycle even if I get one.Im starting out with cured live rock and live sand,So Im not sure that I will have any spikes.

If the LR you got was from a LFS, and not an established aquarium, it may not be FULLY cured yet, the continuing curing process in your tank will definitely help with the cycle.
