Cycling - what now?

I added one uncooked shrimp into my aquarium. It stinks like crazy. What happens now?
Btw, should I change my biowheel filter? I currently put 2 in there just in case

What are your test results? if your ammonia has spiked....take the shrimp out

when did you put the shrimp in?dont change the biowheel thats where the good bacteria grows.
did you check the water for ammonia and nitrite?

I put it in yesterday, but it's stinking up the storm! I took it out as I was told the decay process is at the full force.
I assume the smell will disappear in few weeks?
