cycling with a prawn

I bought a 4" prawn at supermarket. Is that good enough to start a cycle on my 29 fo. Nothing else in the tank. Do I need another or just buy damles

That should be more than sufficient to start the cycle. Give it a few days and you will see your ammonia spike. I used 1 shrimp to start my 80 gallon cycle.

How long did it take for it to cycle?

a prawn is a kind of shrimp--a jumbo, I believe.
