Cycling with LR

After i put in the LR to get my cycle going, should I keep the lights on or off?

I'm Pretty sure it doesn't matter. I had mine on and off and My tank cycled fine.

ive been leaving mine on, but most of the live stuff will dye off anyway, and then grow back after the cycle

i leave my lights off to save the bulb. they only work for so long, i only keep mine for about 6 months max. plus they're expensive as hell. my tank is near a window on the third floor, so i just open the shade and that seems to light the entire room pretty dang good.
