cycling with wet/dry filter

i read that when im cycling my tank that i should take out the bioballs in the filter during cycling? does anyone agree?

No, don't take out your bioballs during the cycle unless you plan on not having them for good. This is what the bacteria will grow on for biological filtration.

yea thats what i thought too but 2 books i read said that but they seem very anal about alot of things

I would recommend that you not take out the bioballs while cycling your tank. During the cycling process you are trying to produce good bacteria and get rid of bad bacteria. The bioballs are one of the places where the good bacteria form.
