I'm thinking on getting a 300 gallon with a shark in it. I am going to add ls and a little of lr. When I add the ls and cured lr, would I have to wait for a cycle, or would it be ready for take off?

You should have to go through a small cycle. Might be wrong though but I think you will have a cycle, maybe not a big one though and it should happen quickly.

You're buying a established tank with a shark in it right? If so add the lr first the the ls and the tank shouldn't cycle over again.
