I bought this stuff for my SPS corals and do not really know how to use it.
How much do I feed (65gl)?
When do you feed? ( day or night)
How often do you feed it??
It looks like it just making a mess of the tank.....I could really use some experience here. Thanks

I'm assuming you are referring to the powder and not frozen bar. I usually feed my corals at night when their polyp's are really distended. I just take a pinch and throw it in. I usually feed cyclopeeze about every other day. Sometimes however I feed just before my actinics turn off. My clown absolutely goes nuts.

No, I do mean the frozed bar. I did feed it today to see what the deal was and my fish were running around like maniacs trying to catch it. What do you mean distended? How big is your tank and what ypes of corals do you have??

My tank is 55g SPS. By distended, I mean the polyps on each coral are fully out or extended. At night they seem to really come out all the way. When my halides are on, they are out, but not as much as when the moonlights are on.

Did you say your polyps were out when the lights are off? mine are pretty well closed at that time. And when you say you feed at night does that mean ....tank night...or nightime outside???

Yes, when my actinics and MH's are both off, and when my moonlights turn on they are extended the greatest. And by night at mean when the moonlights are on, and the other two lights are obviously off.

Mine are fully open when my lights are on too. Lights go off, it's bed time for almost everyone but the nocturnal critters.

I'm pretty sure its too big for any sps to eat but heres what i do with mine for lps and my sun. Take about 1/8 teaspoon and mix it in 5ml's of tank water, i add a few drops of selcon and zoecon, wait 20 minutes and then spray it in the tank with a syringe.
