Dallas Area LFS

Is there anyone in the Dallas Tx area that can give me a recommendation on a good LFS that has frags... I am heading up to Dallas for the weekend...I am looking for some good smaller pieces? Seems like most of the LFS here in Austin just have big pieces and my son has a nano.
Thanks

you will probably get deleted out of existence for even mentioning another lfs on here.you might try going to www.maast.org this is a south texas reef club.they should be able to help you out.mentioning anther so called competetive lfs on here is a big no no.
for goodness sake, would not want to make things easy or convenient for you at the cost of you buying a 20 dollar coral elsewhere.that is what frustrates me about this site, they worry about losing business to a lfs who is in someones area and probably has stuff in stock, yet this site is always sold out of corals.take a look at their inventory and you will see what i mean.very frustrating.

lol.i just counted and they have 110 corals listed yet only 26 in stock.the rest you can put on a "wish list".frustrating indeed.

I don't think they would delete your post for discussing LFS... I see posts like that all the time. The difference is you don't post links to other online competitors, that definitely would not be fair considering THIS SITE pays to keep these boards up... would be very bad form to start trying to advertise business for someone else on a site that swf.com pays to upkeep.
A LFS in Dallas is the Dallas North Aquarium, they have lots of frags. On Trinity Mills between Marsh and Midway. They are a good store imo. There is another one on Lower Greenville near downtown, Fish Gallery is the name I believe. I have heard good things about them though I have never been there so I'm not sure what they have in stock. :happyfish

Hopefully not. This site seems to have a lot of interesting things, but as you said they seem to be out of a lot of them. I was going to place an order the other night, but didn't because 2 things I wanted had been "wish listed" which brought under the $79 thing and I could not get it to take my order for less than the $79 dollars, even though I was willing to pay shipping. So if they are monitoring, maybe they can help.
Also, lfs shouldn't be considered "competion" because at least here in Austin...They have a limited selection of more common things whereas the internet site have the more exotic critters and sometime better selection.
Also, if they do decide to delete me...It means that they have lost a customer, (and a good one, my husband promised me a big saltwater tank (built in) for our new house).
I do a lot of shopping online, but I also use my local stores...In this day and age I think everyone does and if the companies are smart they will pay attention and make you want to use a site with things such as this message boards. It makes customers tend to come to a particular site, but if that site starts to censor what can or can't be talked because they are afraid of losing business they are just going to drive people away.
Okay, off my soapbox!!!

Motohead & Aelene. The Dallas North is an excellent place....! I bought my entire setup there, which will be delivered next month. They offer solid advice, products and are not in the market to just sell you stuff. Made good contacts if you need any!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck.

Dallas North Aq is a terrible place! Over priced and unfair. The BEST place in the metro is Saltwater Paradise in Irving. Huge store on O Connor and 183, past TX stadium. Owner, Scott is an

, but he imports the best stock by far. He is a little pricey too, but much better than Dallas North.

Another great place is Exotic Aquatics in Plano at Custer and Parker. Plano is one of the northern suburbs of Dallas along US75.
