damsels and 30 gallon tank

ok, my tank is as posted below. I want the damsels out to make room for another bigger fish. I thought about putting the damsels into a 30 gallon I have sitting empty. I went with the min of 3 gall per inch for fish. I am assuming that the damsels wont get bigger then 3 inches so therefore the math turns out to be 9 gallons per damsel. therefore 9 gallons per the 5 damsels I have is 45 gall. ---would a 30 gallon overcrowd them or not? Is this possible to do?
I really dont want to return them or get a bigger tank. Is this going to be an overload or at the max? Can it be done? And how big do damsels get? thanks

of course it can be done...
as long as there is plenty of live rock
so the damsels can establish their territories,
otherwise prepare for stranglemania 2002, because
those damsels will fight like crazy
