i have a 40g tank and i started with 8 damsels which were (2 blue damsels, 2 green chromis, 1 yellow tail, 1 domino and 2 yellow damsels) within 3 days my domino died. i dont know why either. then a week after i added 4 blue damsels and 2 dominos. ive read and heard that dominos are really aggressive but just recently one of my dominos died again my yellow tail did too along with a blue damsel, before the blue damsel died its mouth was red and its lips looked really swollen so i dont know if this is aggression in the tank and they were just being attacked or if its being caused by any type of sickness they all died in like 2 days. Now one of my green chromis has spots and isnt as bright as it should be...i really dont know whats going on...please help me

Are you testing the water parameters. Most likely all of your fish are going to die, that normally happens when you cycle with live fish.

If you cycled the tank with damsels then they will probably all die soon. That happens from the ammonia/nitrate spikes. If not, then I would say they were added too soon, and the newly cycled tank can't handle the bioload. That happened to me. I added 6 fish to my tank about a week after it was fully cycled, and found a yellow tang dead the next day. I didn't know what was wrong, but I returned most of the delicate fish to my lfs...good thing, too. If damsels are dying, I would check the water ASAP!
