I Want to have 2 schools of damsels in my 72g. I already have 2 green chromis. I am getting 4 more Thursday. What Damsel species go well with Green Chromis that wont be aggressive later on?
Yellow tail damsels are not aggresive. Blue chromis are just as nice as the green. Just watch that you don't get a damsel group that is territorial like blue devils etc!
Everywhere I've searched has said Yellow-tails are aggressive later on. I'm just going to get 6 Green Chromis, sailfin tang, sixlined wrasse and inverts but thx for the info
I had a yellow tail and a domino damsel that ganged up on a bangeyed cardnial and killed him (now keep in mind that they had been living in the same tank for 4 months peacefully). so i would not get these two fish.

Thanks for your 2 cents Melissa. Anyways, I decided to keep just once shoal of Green Chromis. I have my 2 dmonio's in my mantis tank awaiting her arrival . They Weren't very nice when I first had the Green Chromis put in, so now She will decide their fate .
I've had yellows before.. They can get pretty mean. I'd stay away from them. One you have them in your tank, they are difficult to fish out. Just my 2 cents
hav kept a domino damsel... extremely territorial n aggressive, abrupt approach wen feedin. it chased any fish i introduced after him, even ones 3 times bigger!! green chromis r most peaceful have 5 of them in 125..great schoolin fish n active
Those dominos are very aggressive, i had one that took over the tank and infact when i went next to the tank the damsel would move to the front of the tank ,move his body on a angle then proceed to raise his spiny dorsel fin at me,they can be not very nice at times.it was a 29gal tank he had too himself.
I have two yellow tails and one blue in my 75 and one yellow beat the tar out of the other he has been in a floating hospital for about two weeks he is doing fine though soon I will reintroduce him.
