My coral banded shrimp dug my new 1 inch roya;l gramma out of his hiding place and
ATE
him. I hate that dang shrimp. He ate a christmas tree worm last time. I wonder how he tastes? Might be good with cocktail sauce.

I had a coral banded shrimp that was so very cool, well behaved, got along with all fish and inverts in my tank ... but sadly he had a run in with my overflow ( don't ask ) and he didn't make it. I purchased another one shortly thereafter .. and the new one turned out to be a real nasty little bugger. One flat out trouble maker. I took him back to lfs.
Hard tell'n what and how some of these creatures will behave in our tanks. Unusual things happen sometimes even within the same species.

Man, I've been there too. My last Coral Banded went back to the store because he tried to eat my Mandarin. He also tries to eat my Feather Dusters. They flushed him at the store because he ate all the Christmas Tree Worms.

I have 2 Coral Banded Shrimp & they are great tankmates to all - keep to themselves & don't pick on anybody. Must admit, tho - had one & then decided to get another. The 'original' stalked the daylights outta the newcomer & whacked off both claws )= )= & I thought, "This is surely it." Amazingly, the two have become the best of buds!! I think I lucked out on this one cuz, as I understand, 2 of these critters don't get along unless they are a pair. So, you just never know, do you???
