ok guys... im like mad... i took my broters pipe organ polyp thingie out of his tank and into mine ... that thing come out nice in his tank but wont come out in mine.. like what the heck.. he is up high like 10'' from the pc's ..... is it my fish that bother it so it wont come out??.. cuzz this thing spreads perdy fast in my bro's tank.. he has to nice and new patched of this thing on other rocks that it sat on. i want some in mine but it wont come out... any idea???

ive got mine on the bottom of my 90 with 260 watt orbit lights....and it is always fully extended........what are your test results??

umm u dont understand that?? ok ok........ what i siad is.. i took my bro's pip organ from his tank and place her in mine.. the thing opens up nice in his tank but wont in mine... why.... my perms are right on.. and i just did a 50 gal WC 2 days ago.. it's a agressive tank.. tusk. wrasses.. angeles and a few more.. i watched to see if any of them are nipping at it or not ( looked for 1 hr) and nothign is nipping at it.. so whats wrong.. ohh and it's only been in the tank for about 20 hrs..

I would say that the water quality is different than your Bro's!

i think its the fish. i dont this those fish are reef safe. they could be nipping on them when you are away.

yeah i know they arnt really reef safe, thats why i sat there admiring and scoping out the thing seeing if it getting nipped at.. and yes my tank water is different from my bro's.. heck every 1 tank water is different from another... non are the same.. for each is based on and for different inhabitants..

50 gallon water change? I hope your tank is a 300+ gallon tank because a 50 gallon change is huge and very traumatic on a tank small that that.
How long has the pipe organ been in your tank? Some corals cant take a week to open up. How long has your tank been set up? What are your water params? Pipe Organ is a pretty hearty coral... if it isn't doing well something may be wrong.

it been in my bro's tank for like 1 year.. and only in mine for 1 day now.. i know thay are hardy things.. but it wont friggin open in my tank.. my tank is 3+ years old..

never do a big water change like unless like said you have a 300 gal tank.id say about 30- 35 gallons.also did you drip the pipe organ???do you have the right lighting on your tank??i dont think its the fish at all.it could possibly be your parameters???what are they???

i just saw that its a day old in your tank.thats probably why.ive had coral i bought not open up for a week in my tank and sometimes open up 5 minutes after i put it in.(ita all depends on the coral) .it takes things about 3 weeks to get used to your tank.but like i said i hope you dripped

well.. 50 gal water change should not be the problem i know for a fact...cuzz 50 gal of 150 gal is only 30% wc..... soooo................ if u wanna think that way.... anyhow... maybe it's just that the thing needs some time to get use to the tank...
