Darting blonde naso tang

Does anyone know why my blonde naso tang darts and swims from side to side whenever and only when i turn on my T5 tank lights. I only use the actinic lights when i turn them on. The temp. of the water does not change when lights are on, so that is not the reason. None of the other fish (two damsels, two foxface fish, chocolate tang, powder brown, powder blue, clownfish) seem to go into the "craze" like the naso. My salinity and water chemistry are all good. Any ideas folks
?

as long as he is eating and growing with no signs of sickness then i wouldnt mind too much. maybe he is freaking out then adjusts to the lights.

Yeah, as long as he's healthy why worry and why care? Folks that try to analyze odd behavior by healthy fish scare me a little.

Just posed the question Srfisher17. No need to be afraid my brother or sister (which ever you might be). My fish tank is a hobby, an investment, but also a statement in my home, so much so, that it is recessed within the wall of two rooms and visible through both sides. I have placed a great deal of money into it, as well as the fish within it. The question was posed because my blonde naso is a very large fish, that was also relatively expensive. I would hate too loose it, when I can come to a forum such as this...ask a question....get insight. I believe that to be the purpose of the discussion area.

Sure didn't mean to offend you; just a light, off-the-wall comment. A sense of humor goes a long way.

Mine does the sae=me thing when the lights are on. It constantly swim the length of the tank up and down, darting around. They are just active fish that swim a lot, which is the reason they need larger tanks.
