What does everyone do with their dead corals....especially SPS. Since the coral skeletons are made out of calcium, will they dissintegrate and add to the calicum levels in the water column?

I had 2 sps die...the skeletons looked ugly, stayed hard, and collected algae...so I tried to break them off the plug and threw what I got off away...

I throw them in the sump or they can be used a media in your Calcium reactor. They will not desolve at the PH we keep our aquariums enough to effect calcium.

i have dead coral heads that are now LR ( covered in coraline) i bought them when they were already dead because i liked how they looked. they definatley didn't disinigrate or cause any ph spikes. they'll grow over like any other hard substrate. no worries....
