Dead Fish y?

Ok i am restocking my 29 gal, i bought a six-line yesterday and acclimated him using the drip method. I got him from my LFS and he was very healthy, I actually trust this LFS. Anyway after acclimation, i put him in the tank(no lights or Ph's for 2 hours). Left the lights out for the night but turned back on the powerheads. Stil hid most of the night, but swam around some. When i woke this morning he was dead. I have no clue so I am asking you guys what could have happened. All water params are great! maybe slight, slight nitrate. Sal=1.023. The only thing i am weary bout is the temp...it was about 88. If that was the prob, sorry for the dumb, long post. IS there any other thing that could have caused it, or any way i can test for anything else. Someone on another one of my threads said something about cyanide when my last fish died. Thanks guys, a lot.

Yikes! 88 that is really hot, I would think the temp along with the stress of moving into a new tank could have caused the death. Sometimes I think just the stress can kill fish, but you need to get that temp down.

temp shock is a big thing to think about and a probable cause that big a jump can cause lots of troubles with anything added.
and 88 is a little high I shoot as a high of 78-82 degrees any higher bad things can start happening quickly.
