Dead or Alive...

We just got a coral banded shrimp today and acclimated him for 1 hour. He was doing fine in the tank and now tonight i notice he is lying on his back and pale. I obviously know that they molt and tend to molt when they get stressed, but my question for you is when they molt do they look exactly like they used to: do the exo's have claws and antennae's?
p.s. happy easter!

the only thing they dont get rid of is the inside. every thing on the inside is growing and needs room and the only way is to shed.

I can remember when I tried to catch mine one time and he jumped back and lost both claws, after a few days he had what looked like two additonal legs and then 1 week later out of no where he had two brand new claws. They are cool

It's molted. :D Last time I was at my LFS he had a coral banded shrimp that had molted and left its molt in plain view. I swore it was real until I saw the shrimp hiding inside of a decoration in the tank, I assume waiting for his new shell to harden. It's crazy how alive the molts look lol.

does this usually happend with the first couple hours of being in the tank? i used the net to move it to an easier to view location and it looks like there something still in the exo. but when something usually dies it gets stiff, this seems to move easily with the current from the power heads. should i remove it just i case it is dead so amonia levels dont raise? or let it sit for a while?, another thing how long would he usually hide before it hardens and comes back out?
sorry for all the questions but im worried i killed him
