I had a whole thing of zoanthid polyps die and they are on a piece of live rock will it hurt my tank if i just leave them in there cuz i dont feel like scrapping the rock

you dont have to scrape the rock but i would. if there are no other coral on the rock just take it out and blast it with the hose and give it a good scrub.
if there are other corals on the rock i would atleast remove the rock and razor off what i could
depending on tank size it should not be a big deal

there arent any other corals on the rock so ill just blast it with a hose and scrub them off thanks

PS: dont just toss the rock in your tank after soaking it with the hose. give it a nice fresh RO/DI bath first to remove any crud from your city water.

yeah thats what i was wondering what i need to do after i spray and scrub soo ill poor RO water on it and then ill set it in a bucket with RO and let it soak for awhile.
