Hello,
How do you tell if your mushroom is dead. I have had a ricordea for about a month.
Its pale white now and hasnt attached. Obviously if it is dead, it needs to be taken out.
This is my first shroom so I cant tell.
12gal nano
levels are within range.
Thanks

If it's dead it will immediately begin to melt away. Pale white could mean it is bleached, in which case it would need light to regrow its zooxanthellae population. To get it to attach, stick the bottom in a crevice, rubber band it around a rock, or net it on a rock.

lighting is the 24watt 50/50 that was standard on the jbj nano 12 gal. I have some zoos and the one mushroom. Maybe this isnt enough light, but I understood that zoos and shrooms dont need intense lighting like other corals.
