Dead snail take him out or leave as a meal for the others?

I have a snail that i thought was very ill and i guess he was because there was all these other snails on top of it and around it like 8 of them i think i counted. If it wasn't dead it was going to die anyway will all the others feasting on it my question is should i take it out or should i just let them eat it?

i think it depends on what you have in there that will take care of the clean up......also if it was a huge turbo i personally would take it out and if it was a small nerite or similar i would leave it in...i guess it depends on the size of snail and the size of the clean up crew....

god a gigantic snail died in my tank and i took it out and it was the worst!!! smell ive ever experienced in my whole life!!!!

i had a snail die (well thats what i thought when i saw him) it was late at night so i was going to get him out the next morning but when i woke up the next morning he was on the glass eating algea i was like 99% sure he was dead all turned over and not moving for a couple of hours. i think my tank is like an indian fish burial ground or something cuz i had a dead hermit that came back to life too. it was kinda freaky. Tank of the undead lolz.

Anyway, if something large dies get it out..small stuff I wouldn't take the time. Especially if you have a good crew and an established system..lots of rock etc...
I lost a yellow tang once and was late to work when I noticed the carcus, so I left it in there. I came back 8 hours later to a pile of bones!!! No ammonia spike! Just a lot of fat crabs!!! lol If you have an 8 gallon nano then take it out..otherwise..no big deal.
