Dead Turbo snails!

All my Turbo snails bought the farm over the past two weeks. The tank has been up for 2 months, a 75. All the levels are good. The hermits are scarlet and blue legs, very small and look OK. The only thing I can think is there isn't enough algea. I have 65 lbs of live rock that has plenty of coraline on it. The fish are ok also.

what are your trate levels ?????? I've got 6 in my tank and doing fine... how long did you have them...

I had them about a month or so. Ammon. 0, PH 8.2, Nitrite 0 ,nitrate 5 and copper 0. Everything looks good except the snails.

just dont buy snails

buy trochus snails, the turbos flip over and cannot get back upright, then drown, trochus can re upright themselves

ok, im not tryin to bag on fish boy. But if you have nothing worthwhile to say, you REALLY dont have to say it.
As for the snails, i had the same thing happen, and those suckers arent cheap. Best of luck.

I just bought 3 turbo snails last week and I noticed today that one was on its back and one of my blue legged hermits was investigating the shell. Is it normal for turbo snails to end up on their backs? and do blue legged hermits bother or eat turbo snails? I don't want to keep buying them if they are going to keep winding up dead! <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />
