They found a dead whale shark off the coast the other day. We were out in the boat yesterday and spotted 5-6 porpises jumping and 2 HUGE sea turtles mating...I told my youngest one that they were wrestling..didnt run across the whale shark carcass though...spent the rest of the afternoon on peanut island looking at fish and collecting hermit crabs. You gotta love Florida.

Went down to Isla Morada and collected like 30 hermies, but they are different kind, not red or blue legged. but greyish color, they are all doing very well.

that whale shark was just a baby at only 35 ft long, i never knew that they come off the coast of florida. thats crazy, i have always wanted to swimm with one, even though i know i would be to scared to jump. i guess everytime iam out on the water ill be looking out for them now..

I have found blue legs at the lagoon..in the mangroves. Not very many though. Maybe 1 in 30-40 is blue. BUT Peanut Island in WPB area is LOADED with blue legs...If you dont have a boat you can get to it by ferry.I think its a few bucks to get across. My kids got 50 hermies in about 10 minutes...I put lots back, I didnt need to many, but the kids love to catch em. The water is shallow so it works out great.
