After making my rounds at the LFS i came home to find just about everything in my tank belly up.Snails,crabs,all plant life on LR gone.Some how my two Clowns made it.I first thought it crashed.Then i toiced the temp was 87.The i saw my heater had cracked.Everything got zapped.

It's back to the LFS to start to restock.Snails,crabs,and my CB shrimp all gone.

wow that really sucks, I have had some serious heater issues in the past, now I will only put titanium heaters in my tanks.

More malfunctioning equipment......gee what a surprise (sarcasm).
Your not alone. Issues with worthless equipment with overinflated prices has come close to running me out of this hobby on more than one occasion. IMO more than half the equipment for sale in this hobby is worthless junk that has to be modified by the end user before it works anywhere near its claims, if it ever works at all.

Sorry for your loss
Just out of curiousity is your system on a GFI? In theory it is suppose to prevent this type of catastrophe. Just wondering if it failed too.
