I'm having a friendly debate here and would like to know during any presidential debate have the two debaters such as Bush and Gore, or Bush Sr. and Clinton ever cursed on a national televised debate.
From what I've seen in the past I remember politians cursing on one of the questions this made the crowd go wild.
If someone can give some evidence to this I would appreciate it

I wonder if the FCC would fine them?
Are you "only" looking for network-televised debates between the two presidential canidates?

Whoppi is a crazy one but I like the fact that she holds nothing back...
I do believe Bush called someone an As% when he thought his mich was off... That would make me like him more if he would say what he really thought instead of making the stupid "thinking" faces...

I remember Ronny saying "damn" when he got frustrated during a public speach. I'm not sure if that was during a debate.

Well if you don't mean them on stage with each other, I can think of a few recent incidents of them loseing their tempers...
Cheney on the senate floor last week....
Clinton a few weeks ago in that British interview...
Didn't Powell (yeah I know he's not the president)curse over that camera incident about a month ago?

It's easier for me to do that than support the same person as Kenneth Lay.

You do know that Enron contributed to the democrats too, right ?
Also, ever heard of any corporate criminals being indicted under the previous administration ? No. You know why ? Because that's when they were "making" their money. Over 31 major white collar criminals have been indicted, some convicted, under Bush Jr.

"Nicknamed “Kenny Boy” by President Bush. In Enron’s heyday under Lay’s leadership, Bush received more than $550,000 from the company, its employees and their relatives during his political career — the most from any source. More than 250 members of Congress from both parties also received Enron contributions, though three-fourths of $5.77 million given to candidates since 1989 went to Republicans. Vice President ---- Cheney sought Lay’s input on energy policy and Lay routinely spoke publicly on economic and energy policy. Lay clearly favored the GOP. He and his wife, Linda, donated $882,580 to federal candidates from 1989-2001, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. All but $86,470 went to Republicans."
I'm positive none of that went to Kerry. Don't get me wrong I am probably not voting for him, but I will definately not be voting for our current corporate mouthpiece either. Probably write in McCain, all though I am disapointed in him lately as well. Politicians suck and no longer care about the poeple they represent.

Amen!!!!!!!!!! It's all about money.. Why else would someone spend 104million on a job that pays 400K? It's all about pushing their agendas..
Quote me on this.... All great empires or world powers in history have fallen. The main reasons included greed.. We are voting for people who honestly tell us they want what is best for us but their actions speak diffrently.
For the past 3 months, Bush has been on the road alot trying to rally votes. I would have actually voted for him if he had said " You know, If you like what I have done and how I am doing, Vote for me. I am going to save the 100million and donate it to people who need it"... Then, I would vote for the man...

WHO CARES??? There have been times in the past when I actually paid attention to politics, and I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter either way...
If you don't want a democrat in office because you don't like his "ideas" it doesn't matter because some day, some time there will be another democrat and the ideas will then be implemented anyway. Politics seems to me like a big revolving door...same debates, same topics, different faces different day. Overall the end result will remain the same...
We will never agree on healthcare issues
we will never agree on what to do with the military
""""" on gun laws
'"on abortion
" on medicare
" social security
"on the justice system
"on the finances
" on the welfare distributions
And as long as there are issues, there will be reprocutions to gripe about. I vote, but I also realize that it will not matter in the end because everything that I don't want to happen, will anyway when the opposite party is in office on the next turn.
OK I am done venting.:D

Amen again... Thats why the people of this country (meaning people who actually have to earn a living) should be more involved in some of the decissions that happen.
Example- The majority, and I mean the VAST majority of the members of congress and the senate have money before they go into govt.. They have already made money and don't really need to keep working. Now they are in it to "protect" their intrests.. It really is sad if you think about because we allow it...

Which is why you need term limits on congress - when you have 98 year old codgers in congress you have something wrong ....
Too much pork
Too much negative campaigning
Too many people who believe what they are told to believe and vote accordingly .....
Too many people entrenched in a system that benefits the tax payer last ....
A little over 200 years ago a bunch of true patriots stood up for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - now we have two parties that are so tied to corporate groups that no one blinks an eye when an energy company CEO donates hundreds of thousand of dollars then their candidate wins and is called in to help plan out the countries energy strategy. Uhm wonder if that large investment by kenny boy paid off??
Ahh the rich just get richer - imagine if there was an actual cap on the amount of money any one person was allowed to spend getting elected and there was no "soft" money .... maybe our politicians could spend more time working and less time raising money.......
And yes the rich just keep getting richer: http://money.cnn.com/2004/07/28/news...ex.htm?cnn=yes
Heck I would love to see the median raise of 15% .... of course I would love to have 2 months of vacation too .... politics or CEO .... hmmmm

And I am supposed to be happy with my 4%. What is 4% of nothing again?
I would really like to see people rise up and really look at who and what they believe in. I know all media is biased, they have to be to ttract viewers. So it is up to the individual to look through the iron curtain and seek truth.
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's a dog. Does that make sense? Well if it does, you should be in politics today! The people that run the govt (Dems and Rep.) try to convience us that they push policies that will help us. Well, I have to say, this is a great country, and we have more advantages than most others, but how long will it be that way. If people continue to tell us what they think we want to hear and then do the exact opposite, we are in trouble.
An example of the world today:
Big Brother 5 on CBS. It's an example of greed. Plain and simple. They have to vote someone off so they scheme, plan and lie to get what they want. Then turn around and do the opposite. So if they are doing this for 1/2 million, what would they do for the most powerful position in the world. A position that demands respect. It's all about getting ehat they want. It really should not be that way.
P.S. When was the last time you talked to your commisioner or represenitive that was not around the elections? Ever wonder why you only hear about them in Nov?
