deep sand bed

I recently purchased a 90g all-glass drilled aquarium. The overflow holes at the bottom are about 2.75in. from the bottom. I would like to have a 4in. dsb, but the sand would cover the bottom drain holes. Any ideas????

It has overflows at the top and bottom? I don't know exactly how that is setup, but maybe you could silicone a piece of glass over the bottom one from inside the overflow and just use the top?

It has a double baffle, the out side baffle has holes at the top and bottom, the inside baffle in about 1/4 inch from the outside baffle and slightly lower. Glueing from the inside is not possible, but thanks for the suggestion.

Man I knew you were going to say they were glued. That sucks. If you look at my link below, you could pull the corner pipe right out on my tank. I forgot what the called them, but after we drilled it, we used threaded a plastic hex bolt and washer with a rubber seal on tank. You could just stick the pipe in the hex and you were fine.
ANYWAY, without really seeing it, I am tempted to say you could cut another pipe to the shape of the underflow hole and silicone it in the hole. It may not be pretty, but it might work. Or maybe you could take a hacksaw blade and cut off the outer baffle pipe? Hard to say going blind, but maybe it gives you some ideas.
Good luck!
