I got one! It's awesome, my 29gal. only has about 5lbs. of live rock (the other 35lbs. has been soaking in a dark tub for a month due to hair algae) and very little livestock and this thing is still pulling out some nasty skimmate. It's only been running for 3 days, the hair algae problem occured before I got the skimmer. It's really quiet since the pump is inside the skimmer and it takes up almost no room inside of the tank. It makes things look very clean, no unsightly pumps to look at. It was expensive though, but I could splurge at the time. It's the best piece of equipment I've bought so far, totally plug n' play. My BakPak was a freakin joke compared to this thing.

I'll try to post some pictures later tonight, my girlfriend has the camera and I won't see her until then. I actually have the thing hanging on the front of my tank right now, because I need to take my aquafuge off the back before I can put it back there. Not enough room for both. My aquafuge will go on the 20 long I'm setting up. With it hanging on the front you can see it in action because the back is clear acrylic. This thing produces a very thick cloud of micro-fine bubbles. Pictures to follow later.

Here's my pictures of my MCE600. I don't have any good skimmate shots because when I got home earlier tonight, my cup was overflowing and I had to empty it. It's only been running for about 5 days now and I'm still tweaking the cup height so every once in a while I get an overflow. Anyway, there's a little skimmate in the cup, about 4 hrs. worth. It would take my bakpak about 3 days to even pull out that much. I can't stress enough how quiet this thing is, it makes about as much noise as the whisper power filter I had on my freshwater tank, just a slight hum. The fan on my Orbit is much louder. I never knew a HOB skimmer could be this quiet.

This shows the inlet tube going into the tank. This and the outlet stick far out into the tank. I plan on trimming them back, the tube comes apart at the elbow. I guess they are made to fit acrylic tanks.

To answer everyone's questions.....
I am getting some microbubbles in the tank, but not as many as my other skimmers during the break in period. Some of my pictures look like there is alot of turbulance going through the outlet side of the skimmer, but that's not the case. The bubbles all over the acrylic on the outlet side were caused by the overflow I had earlier in the day. By the light coming through the hole it looks as if the water is bubbling, not so. Yes zman, the gray elbow is what directs the flow back into the skimmer if you have an overflow. It's a great idea, no worries about it going all over the floor, just back into the aquarium.
The pump on this skimmer is an Aquabee 2000. It's been modified by Deltec with their patented needlewheel impeller. These impellers are supposedly what sets Deltec apart from the rest and makes these so efficient (and expensive). It has a one year warranty.
Here's the kicker.....I paid $485 shipped for this thing. After ordering, I asked myself, "did I just really do that?" It's an arm and a leg, but it was a good fit for me and I could afford to spend the money at the time. Here's why I don't feel to bad about shelling out this kind of dough and feel happy with my purchase......
This skimmer is rated for a 185 gal. tank. We all know that those ratings are deceiving, but I'd say it would at least do a great job on anything up to 100 gal. I have a 29gal. right now, so when I upgrade tank size I should not have to buy another skimmer. I don't think I'd ever go over 75 gal. anyway.
This skimmer is extremely quiet, that was important to me because for now, I am going sumpless and it seems nearly impossible to find a HOB skimmer that isn't loud. I'm not going to have a sump because with my job, I am gone half the week and do not trust my girlfriend to handle a flood situation if one occurs. Plus I live in a second floor apartment, so I'm just generally paranoid about the possible flooding aspect. I know most of you with sumps have never had a flood, but it would be a nagging worry in the back of my mind all the time. Just better for me not to risk it.
Since I am sumpless and have to go with a HOB skimmer, I love that this has no pump that goes inside the tank. Like I said earlier, just a tube that looks like a powerfilter inlet tube is all. Gives my 29gal. a nice clean uncluddered look.
Customer service is the other thing that lured me to this skimmer. I'd been following the Deltec forum on another reef message board (not sure if it's against the rules to post the name of that board) and reading what other Deltec owners had to say. The owner of DeltecUSA is on that board everyday answering questions and participating in discussions. If you have any problems, you get quick answers and suggestions. Any parts you need are immediately on the way. If he doesn't have a part in stock he'll call one of his retailers and have them ship it to you. These skimmers are actually made in Germany so getting parts quickly could otherwise be a pain if he's out of stock. We've spoke on the phone a couple of times during my ordering process and he's a very personable, friendly and professional guy. The best customer service experience I've had in this hobby by far. I'm already on a first name basis with him on the Deltec message board which just gives me a good feeling, ya' know. It's kinda like dealing with the (trustworthy) LFS owner down the street.
So anyway, some people will be taken back at the price, but Deltecs have the reputation as being one of the top skimmers out there so I'm confident I didn't waste my money. With the money I've spent on other skimmers and filters, if I'd just bought this in the first place I would have saved money but like they say, "hindsight is always 20/20.
