Deltech Skimmer

I have a 55 gal reef and my sea clone works one week and then quits the next. I just can't keep it continually skimming. I am thinking of upgrading. My LFS is selling a Deltech skimmer and from he says, they are the best on the market. The only problem is it is pretty expensive. The one I would get is $350.
Anyone knnow anything about Deltech's?

It will skim constantly if i turn it up high, but the bubbles are usually just white, now it skims when it needs to.
Tank looks great!

. This my be an out of topic ?, but how do you get that much coralline algea growth. I dont know much about deltech but I would get Asm G series. Worth every penny. From the pic of puffers deltech( no offence) it looks like the skimmate isn't that dark. Buy the Asm G-1x for your tank. It's the best for the size of your tank IMO.

I dont use any additives. Just do a 5 gallon water change every week. Corraline takes time. Basically just keep your calcium up and before you know it, it will be everywhere.
My tank is 3 yrs old, so if you do those things you could easily have as much coraline as I do

Skim mate isn't that dark cause the pic was taken when i first set up my tank and there was nothing to skim yet
i was suprised it had any skim mate at all. I still recommend it, and IMO its worth the money.

Have to agree Deltecs are very nice, but not the best on the market as the LFS says.....BubbleKing "TOPS", but look at their price as well......
