shipping costs come with the territory...
what's worse, living in eternal shame for paying $10 locally for a colony of brown zoanthids, or paying $75shipped for a frag of AOG that grows into a nice looking colony which even casual observers can admire?lol...

a lot of the members here live so far away and it's lame when they have stuff I want to buy, but don't want to pay the price for shipping!

..But if you walked across the country, you might die before you even got there...
In the event you did make it, you'd be really sad dragging a cooler back with you.
shipping costs are a practical and much safer alternative.... it would cost you way more to fly/drive out there and medical and food costs associated with walking are way high.

lol no i dont think someone would go that far..... why not drive gas prices have gone way down!!!
It still costs less to fly than to drive cross country. I've driven ALOT.. I often drive to California during the summer and that's expensive considering the oilchange involved, gas, hotels (when I don't feel like being an ironman), stopping for food... etc.... I could rent a car, but I don't like driving a rental... they don't always have Cadillac CTS's available.

haha well for most corals I'm not willing to pay a lot for shipping....unless they are like super cool yumas!

I tried to make an arrangement for a pink yuma with a local LFS... "If I get to exacto knife the disc off the foot and both parts live, I pay you $60... if either one dies, I pay you $180.." Still a no... I guess the sight of mobile DIY surgery on his precious yuma is scary to him.
