Derasa Clam ?

I know most people place their Derasa clams on their sandy bottom (no pun intended) but has anyone placed them higher up in their tank on some LR

Per their natural habitat; they prefer to be on the rocks, actually more like in the rocks, but they usually take care of that on their own.

i had my crocea clams on very top b4 while i am using 20 k 400 watts mh i think it love it but now the i switch to 10 k and more sps later its on the sandy bottom and loving it

all my clams are on the sand bed. ive put them in the rockwork, but they never seem happy. i beleive theres too much flow on the rocks. they seem happy enough on the sand though.

i agree with teen when i have my crocea up top i don't have that much flow compare to now

I tried to get mine to stick to a piece of liverock so i could place him higher and he has mover himself completely off the rock onto the sand so i just left him there - he's happy

key is to just leave them be. dont keep moving/touching them.
