Found these guys, today.
I've never heard of Diamond Gobys pairing up with Pistol Shrimp, but these guys certainly were. And...the Goby was eating frozen. I couldnt resist...it's the first of both that I've ever had.
The Goby is maybe 1" long and the shrimp is 1/2".

Within 2 minutes, in the tank, he started digging their new home...

Not a chance...those 2 guys went into my 12gal. Nano Cube that's been sitting with nothing but snails, hermits and live rock in it. I couldnt find a little Angler or Scorpionfish small enough to go in there.

Setup?? Right now, only 2...the 90gal. and the 12gal. nano.
I've had a total of 9 tanks running simultaneously, though.

Nice lookin goby.....my watchman used to eat frozen brine or it at least looked that way. In the beginning it would pass through its mouth and out its gills but it soon realized that it was good stuff.....however as I said before it used to eat frozen...it has since passed on...loved that fish..had so much character. Enjoy

heres what swf.com says about em
Gobies compose one of the largest family of fish in the ocean. These small fish live around reefs or on sandy flats. Many of the Gobies are known for their burrowing behavior. These fish use burrows in the sand for safety. Some of the Goby species are known to share their burrows with Pistol Shrimp; behavior that can be duplicated in the home aquarium. Most Gobies have cupped ventral fins that nearly join just below their gill plates that serve as perching mechanisms so the Goby can always be on the lookout in a resting position. The Goby is a tremendous addition to the home aquarium.
theyre good buddies :joy:

i have the same pistol shrimp. I got it as a tiger so i assuming thats what it is. When i bought it he was living with three fire fish, unfortunatly the fire fish were sold but the pistol was a nice find.
