Diamond Goby

hey everyone.
OK the reason for this thread is just to thank all of you for pushing me to go with the diamond goby. i picked up the beauty today, temp acclimated it for 30 mins and drip acclimated it for about 2 hr ( i know it says 3+ but i had to get to my volleyball practice) i came home and there were little mounds all over my sand bed. turn on the lights, and i see him right there perched up on the sand just doing his thing. i love him! he has so much character and its so fun to watch him.
i wasnt going to name my fish but when i saw this guy during feeding time i just had to give him this name. i put the mysis shrimp in for the chromis, he started to flutter in the water, motionless, like a halk searching for prey. it was awesome. so, his name is..... The Chiller. he was just sitting there and it was so awesome. just chilling.
anyways, im so happy and excited. i thank all of you that have helped me through the process of setting up SW tank. From teaching and giving me advice on equipment to how to plumb the tank. i will get pictures up soon. next are the 2 percs and the blond naso.

how big is your goby?I bought one not very big and my lawn mower wouldn't leave him a lone.would love to have one.

I have one too and it is very fun to watch. I too bought a lawnmower and it chase my goby all over to the point where I never really ever saw it so the lawnmower had to go back.

My favorite fish,, although mine is a little shy, when he does come out, he really cleans the sand so so well it is completely white again.. GOOD LUCK with yours!

Not to change the subject but MiaHeatLvr I was reading your other post for the newbie with the tangs and ick and I can't believe you could post all that. All I said once to someone that was new was " are you kidding " and it was deleted and I was told to be nice by the mods???????????

id say its about 2 and a half inches or so. i had to get it somewhat big b.c of the other fish that are going in the tank.

Do you know why FIRE? becuase it has some "substance" to it,, they will let it soak in a little, they being the mods,, then they eill delete it.. Ask youself, why are they letting it go? knowing how sensetive they are? sorry for highjacking the tread a little gnorman!
