Coincidence you should mention it being a jumper. As mentioned, I have been wanting one of these for so long, I actually have 3 large pieces of eggcrate sitting in the garage that I bought a month ago from home depot (in preparation for this guy). I just never cut & put it up because I have gone back & forth on the "rock crash" theory. Still undecided

Inverts will do the job with out tearing up your sand. I bought a diamond goby. I saw his distruction before he jumped. They eat everything in the sand, but not detris. They eat food such as leftovers, that are still fresh, and microfauna. Do yourself and your sand bed a favor and get inverts to do the job.
