diamond gobys

I got a diamond goby tonight and he's jumped twice. After the first jump I cut a piece of egg crate down for a make shift top leaving only a small gap about 1" beside my in tank skimmer, an hour later he jumped through that hole. I just patched in around the skimmer but was just wondering if any one has had this problem with them. I've never had fish jump out of the tank before and its driving me nuts. Thanks in advance

Yep...It is a problem. Are your water parameters Ok? Sometimes they are trying to get away from deteriorating water quality...but, sometimes they do just like to jump.
Egg crate usually works. If not, then you can buy 'plastic' (not metal) screen from youir local hardware store...like Home D____t. It is the screen people use to replace the screening in their 'screen' doors after their dogs have run through it chasing a squirrel....like mine do 2x yearly. You can attach the screen directly to the egg crate using
plastic 'zip ties'.
