Diamonsd Goby Agony!!!!

So i am lookin to get a goby and go into the LFS and there is the cute little Diamond Goby that my girlfriend falls in love with. So i get him and everything is fine for a day or so until he decides to set up shop. This little pain spends all day doing his job but in the process he clouds up my tank. Anyone have any suggestions other then bringing him back?

Unfortunately this is what sand sifting gobies tend to do...as well as eat good critters in the sand. I suggest returning it, personally.

That sand is pretty new still. once he turns the sand a few times the fine sand will sink down and compress below the larger grains that will remain on top. and then the cloudiness will stop.
Sounds like he is a hard worker, keep him.

The only question really is do you want him doing his job. If you are looking for a functional sand bed, then you don't...and if you want to keep corals, it can also be an issue (sand being thrown around).
