Diatoms and algae problems

I used to have a problem with brown algea on my sand. I got myself a diamond goby, he cleaned the sand right up.
Algea forms on any surface like dust when its undisturbed. The goby keeps the sand so stired up the algea can't form. The only real problem he created is that he likes to grab the sand and swim over low laying corals, sand dropping everywhere.
I have hair algea problems as well. I am currently hoping my new emerald crabs will do the job. I am planning on a foxface rabbit fish when one is available.
To get something through SWF I have to have a large order, one little fishy won't do, not to mention how awful cold its been here in northen Illinois lately. No shipments allowed.

i fixed my algae problems by faithful water changes, 15 gallons every week for months now, after doing this for about 3 months all the algae died and has yet to return.
