Diatoms and Hair Algae

Ok, the tank has been up for about a month. Diatoms are not getting worse they are just not going away on the bed. It seems one area is worse than others but it is just not going away. It was pretty bad at one point but nothing that looked horrible.
On top of the bed is hair algae too that definatly seems to be geting worse. Any ideas? If it helps I'll post pictures. My levels are near perfect and I am running Phos Guard in my canister. The LR is clean thanks to the snails I assume, but they don't touch the bed.

What size of tank?? If your tank is big enough the Queen and Fighting Conch do an excellent job of cleaning sand beds.
Also, what is your water source??

What are your water parameters???? It's even possible to test for Phos and get a near zero reading and still have hair algae.

What I'm getting at is the Phos can be consumed so fast you wouldn't get a reading........it's enough there being consumed....

No they will not... ???? They will do a good job of turning the sand and eating detritus and diatoms.

Yes, I do 10% every week. I actually woke up today and saw something eat a lot of it (hair algae). So weird
