It looked like my diatom problem was receeding and i really didn't look that bad for a few days but now my tank is covered in diatoms again. Some one said they will go away but does the brown look go away and is this normal for it too be gone then come back?

RO/DI water from my LFS. Does the brown go away if i leave it on the LR and substrate or do i have to keep cleaning it off? Cause my purple/green algae looks dull because of the diatoms.

It will go away eventually. However i would try and determine whats causing the diatom outbreak. How often do you do water changes?

Right now i have a Wet/Dry, penguin 330, emperor 400, protein skimmer and LR and i only have 3 fish so i figured i would only need to do a water change every 3 to 4 weeks.
I don't want anyone taking this personally cause everyone on here is great at helping me out but everyone keeps saying it will go away, but what i want to know is if i leave the alge on the rocks and substrate and just clean the glass will the brown look disapear or will the alge stop and i will have to clean all the brown stuff off?
I am going to go buy a silicate test kit tommarow.

This is normal for a new tank started within 2 to 3 months but since you already have inhabitants in the tank reduce your lighting (mod light ) and reduce the freq of your feeding. this is a good place to start..... my next question,, i think you said you had purple coralline growing if so it is also time for your cleaner crew to get in there and do some work, snails and hermit crab should = the number of gallons of your tank also you should add some scavengers
