did anyone every hear of wallops islands???

so my syster is goin to collage for marine bio. and the marine biology club is going to wallops island in 2 weeks to stay at the marine consortium. she is taking me with her. we're goin there to catch fish for the school tanks. they went last year and i saw what they brought back. a porcupine puffer and some kind of wrasse. and other fish. does anyone live or ever went their before? hopefully i can catch some nice fish for my home tank!!!

i'm only 14 so i have a long time to decide what i want to be, but what does she do in her field of marine bio..

theres so much u can do with it. reseach, aquarium work, ecological surveying, microbio, pretty much what ever ur are in to.

does your sister happen to go to Southampton college?
I remember when i went to school there they went on a trip to those islands. I had friends in that program.

no kutztown un. in pa. their are about 20 schools that go there. the marine consortium is for schools that are inland and for marine bio u need to do reseach on the ocean. so they go there. they have summer classes for them.

I've been to a conference there. Nice field station...but it is, if I recall, a field station which means there are not a lot of luxuries.
FWIW, having experience in both - you generally do not want a marine bio degree to work at an aquarium. You want to go more into animal keeping - many aquarists don't want marine biologists as the open ocean is very different from a closed system.

yea we are only stayin the night, so we can get an early start to catch fish. ??? i dont think she is goin for aquarium work. im not sure what she plans to do?

its Virginia, and i did read something about rocket testing that they do there. but their is a marine consortium there for marine bio reseach.
