This is so amazing, if you all dont know i am a huge vikings fan, less then an hour after the game today Ziggy Wilf, fired mike tice... do you feel this is fair? especially without Ziggy reviewing Tices performance throughout the year before making his decision? IMO Tice did a great job this year. yes he had some off field problems with players etc, but alot of teams have off the field issues but do you see there coaches getting fired? how bout terry glenn getting arrested for public urinating? will jerry jones fire bill parcells? i doubt it.
please gimme your thoughts.

Tice wasn't much of a coach...The Vikings had a ton of problems on and off the field...
His career as a head coach is subpar at best... The Vikings never performed to the level of thier talent, and they lacked discipline under Tice...I for one am glad to see him gone...
But I really dont give rats a$* about the Vikings cause I'm a BUCS FAN!!!

Yeah, I am not much of a Mike Tice fan, as I felt the Vikings were a little bit of a disappointment. If it had not been for Brad Johnson, they would have been terrible. They WR's that they picked up did not play up to their level (Koren Robinson, Travis Taylor, Troy Williamson), their defense did not look as improved as it should have been, and they have yet to establish a featured back. Maybe it was not fair to fire him right after the game and not truly review the team's progression this year, but I thought he definitely had to go.

Tice had tremendous talent throughout his tenure as head caoch and his teams always underachived IMO.
Plus, isn't this the guy that scalped his Super Bowl tickets in the past?
IMO...he is a below average nfl coach . His firing IMO was predictable. Nothing short of advancing to the nfc championship game would have saved his job.

Yes, the editdick word does not get through, That reminds me of one of my all-time favorite fans sign. When SAints editDick Nolan was fired as head coach druing a season the orgnization elevated editDick Stanfel as interim coach. The sign in the Superdome read...'If One editDick Don't Work Try Another".

If your name is Mike and you are a coach in the NFL your job is not safe...Mike Sherman just got fired, and Mike Martz will be by the end of today...Holmgren is prolly safe though...

as a vikings fan,
GOODBYE MIKE TICE
also as a vikings fan, we should get rid of daunte while he's still worth something.

IMO, this would be a mistake. Culpepper would go to another team and make you guys pay. It's not that easy to find a quarterback to build around. We haven't had one in detroit since bobby layne.

if they are not going to dump daunte, then they need to let him sit out this year and go with BJ. (lol)
after tearing the holy trinity in the knee, i dont think half a season and 1 offseason is enough to heal it correctly.

Oh yeah...solid point, I have a tendancy to forget about the Broncos...It doesnt make much sense, cuz Jake Plummer is from my home town and is really good friends with my X...maybe that (the X) is why I forget about em :notsure:

Capers will prolly be out by the end of the day, or early tomorrow...I dont think Turner will get fired this year...Its only his second season...

i think i heard capers is gone too... i am not saying firing tice was not justified. he did it the wrong way. and didnt even wait til monday morning all the other owners did. i have a feeling tice is going go somewhere and he will win the superbowl. and then laff in all of our faces....
