Sweet setup. Hope you get years of enjoyment out of it.
Now you need to decide what type of substrate you are going to get.
After you have chosen your substrate, I'd recommend curing your own live rock. Order it "uncured" online and cure it yourself. You will get some great critters survive that way! I went with Kaelini, Fiji and Carribean rock (for bio diversity). Sadly, curing the rock was a lot of fun.

Well, congrats. Good thing that you're learning about responsibility and all at 14.
I'm 26 and I couldn't wait to get water in my tank either. Can't wait to get a bigger tank once I move too!

ur probably better off getting uncured rock, and adding it to ur tank once its filled with salt water and ur filters are running, all the die off from the uncured rock will start ur cycle, and then u wont have to cure ur rock for 3 weeks. also get as much rock as u can possibly afford now, so when u put live animals in u dont have to worry about the new rock starting a cycle in ur tank and killing all ur fish/inverts :D

Yea, it sucks that they make you take the cheep hoods. I got a 55 gallon for my sub and asked if I could get it with out the hoods and just take it off the price. The manager said no go. Its hard to beat there price on just tanks.

So I should order the 20-25 lbs on LR from this site and just put it straight into my tank when it has filters and water. And then not have to worry bout curing it or anything again.
