Did I manage to kill my Chaeto?

I'll get a pic later hopefully, but my chaeto wasnt growing in my fuge (10W CF light 14 hours) so I put it in my DT for now so it has more light (20W power compact 50/50 on 12 hours). The strings are turning clearish with little green dots instead of being a solid green strand like they were when I got it.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Let it green back up a while, then try it back in the fuge adding ten hours to the fuge photoperiod.

Thanks for the reply... It all died, probably why I have hair algae and some cyano now

the cyano may have killed off the chaeto.
I would get some more chaeto in the fuge and kill the lights in the display. So the cyano dies off and feeds the chaeto in the fuge.
